 Activated alumina spheres are porous and highly dispersed spherical adsorbents. Activated alumina spheres are widely used as catalysts and catalyst carriers for chemical reactions because of their large specific surface area and their microporous surfaces have the characteristics required for catalysis, such as adsorption performance, surface activity, excellent thermal stability, etc. High-performance activated alumina can bring the following benefits in the batch of unshaped refractory materials: increasing the density, fluidity and strength of the blank, increasing the amount of secondary mullite formation, etc., and reducing the amount of water added and porosity. In addition, activated alumina can also be used as desiccant, with large water absorption, fast drying speed and regeneration (baking at 400 -500K).
